Bawrunga Aboriginal Medical Service (BAMS) would like to introduce BAMS IMPACT
Sustainable Indigenous Community Controlled pathways to close the gap in Indigenous health and social disadvantage in Australia.

We are proud to announce the launch of BAMS IMPACT; an innovative platform designed to improve the social determinants of health and wellbeing of local Indigenous communities, in addition to improving clinical health.

BAMS IMPACT will capitalise on the experience and assets built up over the last 20 years; to work collaboratively and synergistically with likeminded individuals and organisations, based on the principles of social enterprise and impact investment.

BAMS is excited that Dr Larry Yee has agreed to take up the role of Director of Strategy and Investment and to work closely with the CEO - Ms. Leavina Reid – and the Chairperson - Mr. Lindsay Mooney for this purpose. 

Dr Yee was involved in assisting with the establishment of the first BAMS clinic more than 20 years ago; and the establishment of the BAMS GP Super Clinic subsequently. Dr Yee has been a strong supporter of BAMS in its mission to improve the health and total well-being of local Indigenous communities for more than 20 years through his support on BAMS Medical Centres and now will be involved in the establishment of BAMS IMPACT.
